On 27 January 2011, CSPA submitted extensive written scoping comments on the Delta Plan Environmental Impact Report. CSPA also joined the California Water Impact Network and Center for Biological Diversity in preparing and submitting additional comments on the Monterey Plus Amendment. Additionally, CSPA joined the Environmental Water Caucus, a broad coalition of fishing, environmental and environmental justice organizations, in preparing and submitting consensus comments on the Delta Plan.
The EIR and the Delta Plan is scheduled to be completed by the Delta Stewardship Council in November 2011. The Stewardship Council has outlined an aggressive schedule that contemplates a series of seven drafts over the coming months.
