CSPA Responds to State Board Re: Long-Term Transfer To Westlands

CSPA, California Water Impact Network (C-WIN) and AquAlliance have submitted comments to the State Water Resources Control Board regarding the group’s protest of the long-term water transfer petition by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and Westlands Water District.  The transfers total 64,275 acre-feet of water.

The letter states that the protest issues identified by CSPA, C-WIN and AquAlliance remain unresolved and requests that DWR prepare analyses that analytically support their contentions that there will be no selenium issues or that all selenium problems associated with tailwater, drainage and shallow and deep groundwater percolation under the operation of the transfer be fully mitigated.  Letter to SWRCB
