CSPA Submits Comments on Delta Plan EIR

CSPA joined with the California Water Impact Network and AquAlliance in filing extensive comments on the Delta Stewardship Council’s Delta Plan and Revised Draft Delta Plan Program Environmental Impact Report.

The highly critical comments said that the environmental document failed to: provide an adequate project description, adequately disclose the environmental setting, provide an adequate impact analysis, consider the public trust, consider climate change, consider available science, properly mitigate impacts, provide adequate alternatives and include an adequate cumulative impact assessment.

CSPA, et al urged the Council to prepare and circulate a new Draft EIR so that the public and decision-makers are afforded the information and analysis necessary to make informed decisions.
