Injunction Denied, Trinity Water Releases to Resume

Today, 22 August 2013, Fresno Federal District Court Judge Lawrence J. O’Neill lifted his TRO and denied the request for a preliminary injunction by Westlands Water District and San Luis & Delta-Mendota Water Authority.  As a result, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will resume releases of water from Trinity Reservoir to prevent a repeat of the disastrous 2002 Klamath fish kill.  CSPA Executive Director characterized the ruling as a victory for salmon, science and common sense.
