Final instructions on the rally to defeat AB 1253, Tuesday April 28th, 7am, west steps of the California State Capital Building

CSPA, CSBA, SaveDeltaFish, SaveOurStripers, NCCFFF Bay/Delta Committee, Allied Fishing Groups special advisory regarding AB 1253: See you in the morning!

by Robert Johnson Jr., SaveDeltaFish.Org

Final Reminder!  The AB 1253 Hearing is on Tuesday, April 28 in Room 437 at the California State Capital Building.  We will be meeting at 7:00am at the west entrance at 10th street and Capital Mall.

Once the doors open we will go through security (camera phones ok, but take no photos), and take the elevators toward the left to the 4th floor, where we will immediately assemble and wait for the meeting room (located near the elevators) to be opened.

We may have to wait an hour, so be PATIENT.  WHAT WILL DEFEAT AB 1253 WILL BE OUR PEACEFUL, DETERMINED OPPOSITION.  MANY OF US WILL JUST BE STANDING IN SUPPORT.  THAT IS GOOD - THE MEDIA KNOWS WERE ARE COMING.  THE COMMITTEE MEMBERS KNOW THIS ALSO!!

PEASE DO NOT GET ANGRY OR ACT OUT OF LINE - DON'T GET MANIPULATED!!!!  THERE WILL BE "TEAM CAPTAINS" PRESENT TO MONITOR ANY FLARE UPS.  PLEASE RESPECT THEM - WE CANNOT AFFORD TO CAUSE TROUBLE.

Note - meeting Room 437 may be changed, so everyone look at posted rosters.  We seek the AB1253 Hearing of the Water, Parks & Recreation Committee - California State Assembly (not Senate).

We will possibly hold a Post Hearing Press Conference to address the media and group, and need everyone to stay until this concludes.  A few things to note:
1.  DRESS:  please no flip flops and we strongly prefer long pants.  WEAR FISHING SHIRTS AND FISHING HATS.  BASS GUYS - show us what ya got.  We represent fishermen (hopefully proud fishermen!)

2.  Signs/Banners:  CHANGE OF PLANS - NO SIGNS ALLOWED.  We would have had to file an event permit like a year ago.  Just come in your most visable fishing clothes and be presentable

Best parking at 10th & L street, very close to where we will meet at the west entrance.  This parking facility takes credit cards, etc.

THANK YOU FOR SIGNING ON AND ATTENDING !!!

Sincerely, Robert Johnson of Save Delta Fish and the many groups in this Allied Fishing Group Alliance!!!
