VOLUNTEER APPLICATION TO ASSIST DFG/EID TRANSFER FISH FROM CAPLES LAKE TO SILVER LAKE PRIOR TO REPAIR OF CAPLES LAKE DAM
On August 26th the California Department of Fish and Game will begin a 72-hour rescue effort for fish in Caples Lake. Fish will be collected and moved via truck to Silver Lake. Work will be conducted in six 12-hour shifts. Approximately 10-20 volunteers per shift will be needed to assist in this effort. To provide efficient and continuous assistance to DFG, volunteers will be asked to work complete 8 to 12 hour shifts, depending on assignment.
Plans are still being formulated. DFG believes that volunteers will be needed to assist in electro-fishing in boats, to help move fish from holding pens to trucks, and to provide general support.
