On 21 April 2014, CSPA joined NRDC, Friends of the River and The Bay Institute in submitting comments on the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s Draft Feasibility Report for the Upper San Joaquin River Basin Storage Investigation – Temperance Flat Reservoir. The detailed comment letter pointed out that the investigation is significantly flawed, does not accurately analyze the economic or ecosystem costs and benefits of the proposed project and fails to comply with federal guidelines for project evaluation. The coalition urged Reclamation to withdraw the study and prepare and recirculate a revised analysis prior to the development of the EIR/EIS.
